i'd wanted to do poetry events and workshops in norwich for a long time, but then my health took a turn and even after several months of recovery, i still wasn't well enough to put on anything big - but since those events would just be invitations to spend time together, be in community, share experiences and be close to each other, why not try finding less demanding ways to do that? uneventful events are my easy, relaxed, low-pressure way of holding events even when i can't run a full course of well-planned writing workshops. no need to book, no cost, no pressure - it's just an excuse to hang out together outside.
uneventful events was a series of three events in June & July 2024: 'Lay down in the grass and say what the clouds look like with Casey Garfield', 'Hang out and blow bubbles in the cemetery with Casey Garfield' and 'Come eat 100 satsumas with Casey Garfield'
